Over the past year, we met with several incredible veterans who have not only protected our great nation in the military but who continue to support fellow veterans and military families today. It has been an honor learning more about these veterans and we are grateful for the opportunity to share their stories with you. Ethan Graves: United States Army, 1st Infantry Division and Iraqi Specialist E-4
"There were two defining moments for me to join the military. One, my grandfather pulled out one of his old military uniforms and actually let me put it on and then he took his flight wings off of that uniform and gave them to me. That's when I knew I was going into the military. The second defining moment was when I was in class on 9/11 and saw the towers fall. That's when I decided that I was going into the Army." - Ethan Graves
Active Valor is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting combat veterans and the children of our nation’s fallen heroes, referred to as Gold Star Children. The program, started by Navy Seal Veteran Perry Yee, allows veterans to continue contributing to their community in a profound way by creating a special bond with a child who no longer has access to that mentorship.

"Ultimately the horse is a tool to show these guys that are coming home what they're looking for, they already have; it's inside them. The answers aren't found anywhere else but within. And so, rather than talking about that, we use the animals as a tool to shift focus." - Micah Fink

Operation: Care and Comfort is a nonprofit organization that supports our troops serving overseas through welcome-home events, writing letters, sending care packages, and supporting deployed service members and veterans’ families. "I was raised on a ranch and that's all I knew. I'm just an original cowboy. After Vietnam, I never ever thought I would find the peace that I have finally found. Now I look at the hope of the United States and the country we live in. Liberty's not free. We're born a proud country. We need to keep it that way." - Frankie Star
